First Attempts At Long Exposure Photography

In November of 2016 my wife and I bought a Fujifilm mirrorless camera, our first "real" camera that was more than just a point-and-shoot. For the first time I had a chance to play with different exposure settings. I've always liked star trail photos so I thought I'd give it a shot myself. I don't have a remote shutter and the Fujufilm camera only allows up to 30 second exposure times so I tried taking a series of 30 second photographs that could be merged in software afterwards. The result isn't great, but I'm proud of it as a first try.

My only gripe with this one is that there are some obvious jitters in the star trails since it's multiple individual photos, and that there are small gaps in the star trails. The gaps are from the second or two it took me to hit the shutter again after the last photo ended.
