A Lovely Thanksgiving Moon

Tonight I realized I had gone the whole year without enjoying a photo of the moon. I set up quickly and didn't worry about collination or exact focus.

I took about 12 videos to cover the whole moon as a mosaic. I used 0.5ms shutter speed and about 175 gain. I stacked each video in autostakkert, my dim exposure made some of the stacking challenging, but I eventually got them all.

I created the mosaic in windows photo gallery, and finally I used registax wavelet sharpening on the entire photo.

It may not be the best, but I'm definitely pleased with it. The Moon is always lovely. Happy Thanksgiving!
