Full Moon and The International Space Station
/I’ve finally had a break in the cloudy springtime weather just in time for a full moon and a good pass of the space station.
The moon is a photo stitch of 9 individual photos, which was then sharpened with wavelet filters in Registax, and then I adjusted some levels in DarkTable. Camera settings for each exposure was ISO-1000 with a shutter of 1/200 seconds. The final results are pretty good, but it’s easy to go overboard with the wavelets sharpening, not sure if I over-did it.
The space station used camera settings that I’ve come to use as standard: ISO 5000 and shutter speed of 1/1600. I took photos during the whole pass at 5 frames per second burst mode, the frames were then cropped and aligned using PIPP. Once aligned nicely they make a cool video
