An Eclipse On Jupiter
/Using Calsky.com and Stellarium I was finally able to find a night when I could get outside while a moon of Jupiter was casting a shadow on the planet. Eclipses are rare on Earth, but Jupiter's moon Io is close to the planet and causes eclipses fairly regularly. I took a bunch of pictures so that they could be stacked later. Individual pictures didn't show much, but the final stacked image absolutely shows the shadow of Io!
Photos were 1/1250 shutter and 1250 ISO. I can probably lower the ISO and slow down the shutter to remove some of the grain.
