22 Degree Halo Around the Moon

Tonight I stepped outside to take the trash out and realized there was a bright halo around the moon. I had seen people post pictures of moon halos before but have never seen one myself.

I took a quick picture with my phone, but my phone doesn't have a large enough field of view to see the whole thing.

Obviously this isn't the greatest photo but it was really cool to see in person!

Wikipedia mentions these halos:

A 22° halo is an optical phenomenon that belongs to the family of ice-crystal halos. Its form is a ring with an apparent radius of approximately 22° around the Sun or Moon. When visible around the Moon, it is called a moon ring or winter halo.
