Trying out my software to remove stars from star trail images to reveal airplanes and satellites.

I bought a new barlow lens to increase my telescopes magnification. The increased magnification means my camera can see much more detail on the planets.

It wasn’t the target I was going for, but I’m pleased with the outcome! I haven’t taken a long exposure of the ISS in a long time.

I photographed three geostationary satellites going into the shadow of the Earth, something that’s only possible a few weeks out of the year!

I got selected to a NASA Social event for the State of NASA address! I got to tour the Kennedy Space Center, saw lots of amazing things, and met lots of incredible people!

This weekend I witnessed my first launch in person! I met people I had previously only spoken with on Twitter, and managed to get some passable pictures of the launch.

You don’t always need a telescope to enjoy the night skies, I also enjoy some beautiful time lapse images of the stars.

I used a series of photos of Jupiter to create a Mercator map projection of the planet.

Instead of taking my telescope out tonight I looked through some old images to see if I had the right images to see how much bigger a super moon really is.
